Dear readers,

Jessica Antonio is a Portugese fashion designer who came to The Netherlands when she was only 12 years old. As since her even younger years, Jessica learned how to sew from her grandmother who still lives in Portugal. The love for creating own fashion items grew over time and the urge to study fashion design in The Netherlands became a goal for Jessica. 🧚‍♂️

I have known Jessica for more than 9 years now, but not because we both love fashion. We met at the house of my aunt and uncle in the city Kortenhoef, because my newphew fell in love with this so-not-ordinary girl. Did they met in Portugal or in The Netherlands? Not quite sure anymore, need to ask that again haha. What is definitely sure, is that this couple is a real example of inspiration. They have two completely different lives and jobs, and they manage to combine that with their ❤️!

Four years ago, I started helping Jessica out by making a short video for one of her study assignments. YES, she got accepted at the fashion design study at the HKU in The Netherlands!! Three years later I made a real portrait film of her for a design competition and this year I made another portrait film of Jessica for a fashion competition.

We have learned a LOT together. Jessica learn more about herself, her company (goals) and her fashion design. I learned more about organizing filming days, how to make the best protrait films and how to make a clear planning for myself (time management).

I studied Media and Entertainment Managament, but when it comes to the real deal, you really have to get out of your books and start doing what you've learned.🤩

Underneath, you can find a couple of photo's that were made of Jessica's collection during a catwalk show. Also, you can find the portraity film that I made for Jessica last week. This video will be shown during the Fashionclash Award in October, 2018.
